Merge Gaming CEO Antony Tailor leaves his job

Antony Tailor, CEO of Merge GaMerge Gaming CEO Antony Tailor Resignsming, one of the largest e-gaming network in USA, has announced his resignation after 5 year.

Merge have yet to realise an announcement explaining the reason behind the departure even though people close to the company have reassured business partners highlighting that his departure will not affect their relation with the network.

Before joining Merge Gaming as CEO in April 2007 Taylor worked in other gambling companies including Racing Post, The Sportsman, Wagerworks and had a consultant role at BskyB.

Merge Gaming rose to prominence as it was one of the very few network accepting US poker players after Black Friday and the subsequently closure of its main competitors.

It has dominated the US for some time until the network lost its biggest skin, Lock Poker  that acquired the Cake Poker Network to become the largest and most powerful Poker Network in the US market. Even though Merge still maintain a strong second position, the Network had to block account siguups in specific states of the US and soon after had to stop all new US account signups for two months.

A month later, a news article reported that the US Government was plannimg more payment processor seizures specifically targeted at Merge Gaming that led to a drop in traffic.

However, there has been no further known payment processor seizures or action against US-facing sites, and service has continued apparently unhindered.
